Judge Arthur Hill announced in court today that he will recuse himself from further procedings in the case of Former Richard Mayor Daley’s nephew Richard Vanecko.
Judge Hill’s ties with the former mayor drew concerns over his ability to preside over Vanecko’s case.
Vanecko plead not guilty to manslaughter charges in connection with the 2004 death of 21-year-old David Koschman.
Judge Hill stated “I am ready and able to handle this case, but in an abundance of caution, I am recusing myself from further proceedings.”
