SAVE THE WILD HARE and Bring Back LIVE MUSIC!

337889_462931453737336_282474251_oThe Wild Hare (formerly housed in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood) is not only a great source of entertainment for an untapped audience, but a staple and tourist attraction for the city.

Many became familiar with the Reggae nightclub bar & lounge by way of the movie Love Jones; others, because of its incredible live shows, friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere. The Wild Hare was/is one of the only homes for live Reggae concerts.

The Wild Hare is running out of time, and without live performances, running out of money. Many Chicago residents were devastated when this staple first closed its doors and so happy to see them back. Now… we might loose them again… indefinitely.

After closing its doors about a year ago and then re-opening at a new location in Lincoln Park, the Wild Hare hasnot been able to obtain a license to host live performances (which is what they are famous for). Lincoln Park residents are petitioning against it because of “the loud noise, traffic and inebriated patrons it will bring.” This coming from residents that have no problem with the blues club and mexican restaurant just down the street that both host live music performances, not to mention the countless bars in the neighborhood.

If you Love the Wild Hare – SIGN THIS POSITION TO APPEAL THE DENIAL OF THEIR PPA.

If you feel its unfair that the Wild Hare’s PPA be denied when other clubs within an earshot are allowed to host live performances -SIGN THIS POSITION TO APPEAL THE DENIAL OF THEIR PPA.

If you believe in keeping Chicago staples alive -SIGN THIS POSITION TO APPEAL THE DENIAL OF THEIR PPA.

Please – SIGN THIS POSITION TO APPEAL THE DENIAL OF THEIR PPA.
